Who are we looking for?

Linklaters Belgium is looking for a bright and confident lawyer to reinforce its Tax team.

When should you apply?

  • You have 0to 4 years ’ experience and a keen interest in tax and legal matters on a global scale.
  • You are a native French speake r (or perfectly bilingual FR/NL) and have an excellent command of English and Dutch.
  • You obtained aBelgian law degree with excellent academic results, preferably combined with additional education abroad or a postgraduate degree in tax law.
  • You have a strong analytical sense, excellent drafting skills, are commercially aware and solution oriented.
  • You are a team player, and you have the ability to navigate complex cases, whilst staying focused on the desired output and client satisfaction.
  • You are curious and have an entrepreneurial mindset, you’re creative and willing to challenge the status quo, knowing you will be based in a firm which is striving to be consistently excellent, admired and at the cutting edge of the global legal market.

Our integrated teams of tax, corporate, finance, regulatory and dispute resolution lawyers have a broad client base, spanning corporates, governments/sovereigns,funds and financial institutions. This results in a rounded approach and tailored, realistic, commercially-sound advice.

Our expertise and experience of advising on the tax aspects of corporate transactions is unrivalled. We frequently work on structuring domestic and cross-border M&A,joint ventures and demergers, as well as corporate reorganizations.

We regularly advise on the tax issues that are key to structuring domestic and cross-border investments, as well as the structuring of share-based incentives, including for funds and financial investor clients.

Our team is known for structuring the most complex and challenging financialtransactions, including regulatory capital and hybrid financing packages, structured bond transactions, rights issues, loan agreements and securitizations.

Our contentious tax group providesexperienced advice and guidance at all stages of a potential dispute with a tax authority, or a third party, on a tax-related matter.

We support clients through a variety of business challenges, including advising on tax aspects of crisis management.
