Responsibilities
- Lead the technical direction of projects, defining architecture and choosing the right tools and technologies.
- Drive the development of high-impact product features, ensuring performance, scalability, and long-term maintainability.
- Leverage AI tools (e.g., Cursor, v0, GitHub Copilot, Claude) to boost development efficiency, quality, and innovation, and actively promote their adoption across the team.
- Mentor and support teams of 2-6 developers, promoting growth, ownership, and technical excellence.
- Collaborate closely with PMs, QAs, designers, and other stakeholders to plan, estimate, and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Review and provide feedback on code and architecture, upholding engineering standards and fostering a strong code culture.
- Identify and unblock technical issues, providing hands-on support when needed.
- Monitor key metrics across product and engineering processes to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Partner with other Tech Leads and Heads to align on technical strategy and share best practices across teams.
Requirements
We’re looking for someone who has…
- 7+ years of experience in software development, ideally building digital products in cross-functional teams.
- 3+ years of experience leading development teams and guiding technical decisions.
- Deep expertise in Next.js/React and TypeScript.
- Strong back-end experience with NodeJS and NestJS, and a solid grasp of software architecture, database design, and security.
- Strong experience with styling tools like TailwindCSS, and animation libraries such as Framer Motion or GSAP.
- Advanced knowledge of relational and non-relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Strong understanding of SEO, accessibility, and web performance.
- Experience integrating and customizing CMSs (e.g., Sanity, Strapi, Contentful) for dynamic applications.
- Deep knowledge of the AWS and Vercel ecosystems, including deployment workflows and performance optimization.
- Experience working with Agile methodologies like Scrum or Kanban.
- Proven ability to conduct code reviews, mentor team members, and uphold coding standards.
- Ability to give and receive feedback constructively, promoting continuous improvement.
- Experience using AI-powered tools (e.g., Cursor, v0, GitHub Copilot) and promoting their adoption across teams.
- English proficiency (B2 or higher).
Nice to have
- Experience with React Native.
- Prior involvement in recruitment processes, team onboarding, or career development frameworks.
- Previous use of AI tools for tasks like debugging, code generation, prototyping, or documentation, and interest in experimenting with new ones.
- Contributions to internal tooling, process improvements, or knowledge-sharing initiatives.
