You will be a Software Engineer on our team at Lockheed Martin. What You Will Be Doing
As a Software Engineer, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Develop and maintain embedded software applications and/or desktop applications.
- Tasks will involve requirements, design, code, testing, and integrating software for an embedded multi-core system as well as desktop computer applications for emulation of sensors and countermeasures.
- The successful candidate will have training in C/C++, prior experience in GUI development, and experience with Linux OS.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
Basic Qualifications
- Must have a Bachelor's degree AND have between (0-2) years of post-grad relevant work experience OR must be pursuing a Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related software discipline.
- Experience with C++
- Experience working Operating systems / familiarity with OS concepts. This may include: Linux, Windows, Unix, VxWorks, Operating Systems Coursework, etc.
- US Citizenship is required.
Desired Skills
- Hardware experience (Arduino, STMxx, Xilinx, any FPGA Programmable Software.
- Strong understanding of C++ Object Oriented design and inheritance concepts.
- Understanding of basic multi-threading concepts.
- Working with a large code base.
- DevSecOps tool chain experience or configuration management tools (this may include Git, GitHub, BitBucket).
- Software configuration management.
- Full software life-cycle development
- Software integration and debugging techniques.
- Demonstrated software development experience in C / Python.
- Familiarity with Agile practices.
- Prior embedded internships is a bonus, but not required.
- Familiarity with Modular Open Systems Architecture (MOSA) design concepts.
- Familiarity with containerized development and deployment environments
- Familiarity with Data distribution service (DDS)
- Familiarity with Yocto OS development
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $81100.00 - $150500.00

- Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
- For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
