Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Own end-to-end project management for a portfolio of concurrent technical initiatives, primarily software delivery, with periodic ownership of hardware and IT infrastructure projects.
  • Build and maintain project plans, schedules, and dependency maps.
  • Proactively identify and escalate risks, blockers, and resourcing conflicts before they impact delivery.
  • Run agile/scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, standups, retros) for software development projects.
  • Adapt to more traditional/waterfall practices for the occasional hardware or IT infrastructure projects.
  • Coordinate across engineering, QA, IT, and (where applicable) external vendors or offshore/remote teams to keep multiple workstreams moving in parallel without collisions.
  • Translate technical requirements between engineering teams and business stakeholders, ensuring scope, timelines, and trade-offs are understood by both sides.
  • Provide clear, structured status reporting (project health, milestones, risks) to the Senior PM and department leadership.
  • Manage remote/distributed team members across time zones, ensuring strong communication and documentation habits with consistency.
  • Work as an individual contributor under the direction of the Senior PM - expected to exercise independent judgment on day-to-day project decisions.
  • Help refine PM standards, templates, and processes across the department.

  Experience:

  • 5+ years (junior) or 10-15 years (senior) of project management experience, with a demonstrated track record of managing multiple concurrent software projects simultaneously.
  • Solid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle and expert knowledge of Agile, Scrum and traditional project management practices with the ability to apply the appropriate practices by project.
  • Hands-on experience with typical PM tools (Jira, Linear, Smartsheet, or equivalent).
  • Proven experience managing remote or distributed teams, including asynchronous communication practices and cross-time-zone coordination.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Some exposure to hardware or IT infrastructure projects is a strong plus but not required.
  • Scrum/PM certification (CSM, PSM, PMP) is a plus, not a requirement.
  • 4-year undergraduate degree.
