Lead Salesforce Developer

Reporting functionally to the O+O Platform Lead in Paris and locally to the Head of the India Tech Hub, you will be the senior technical anchor of the GCC engineering team. Working in close collaboration with the retained senior Accenture engineers present on-site, your mission is to absorb the full platform knowledge and progressively grow into the technical leadership of the hub. In 24 months, you are expected to be the internal technical authority for the travel.

The core responsibilities for the job include the following:

Absorb and Own the Platform:

• Work in daily pairing mode with the retained Accenture Tech Lead to gain a deep, end-to-end understanding of the Salesforce O+O platform architecture, data model, integrations, and technical debt landscape.
• Identify architectural constraints coming in the next iterations and alert the team when problems are foreseen.
• Produce and maintain high-quality technical documentation to ensure platform knowledge is permanently internalized within L'Oréal.
• Progressively take ownership of architectural decisions and technical design reviews as knowledge transfer matures.

Deliver and Enforce Engineering Quality:

• Guarantee the technical framing of user stories to be implemented and propose the right compromises between technical and functional aspects.
• Lead the development of new features and enhancements on the Salesforce Lightning platform (Apex, LWC, Flows, APIs).
• Support software craftsmanship practices: peer reviews, unit testing, static analysis, and CI/CD pipeline discipline.
• Champion API-first design principles and manage technical debt proactively in partnership with the product owner.

Mentor and Build the Team:

• Give technical and methodological guidance to developers through cross-learning and peer programming.
• Set the technical bar for the GCC engineering team; mentor SF Dev L2 and junior engineers.
• Foster a "you build it, you run it" engineering culture from day one.
• Support the implementation of the technical vision of the product and update the technical backlog accordingly.

Contribute to Delivery Governance:

• Participate in sprint planning, architecture reviews, and technical workshops with the Paris-based platform team.
• Use ServiceNow as the single source of truth for demand and incident management.
• Contribute to writing technical user stories, rules, and associated tests.

Requirements:

• Technical: Tech and data architecture design: Application lifecycle management, cloud services management, DevOps, integration, AI/ML.
• Delivery: Agile methodologies: Tech strategy design, prioritization, and risk management.
• Leadership: Team engagement: Adapted communication and change adoption strategy design.

Technical Competencies:

• Experience: 7-10 years in Salesforce development, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead technical role.
• Salesforce Expertise: Deep, hands-on mastery of Salesforce Lightning (Apex, including design patterns, async processing, bulkification, LWC, SOQL/SOSL, LDV, REST/SOAP integrations, permission models, and deployment pipelines). Ability to challenge architectural designs and guide the team on best practices. Strong knowledge of Consumer Goods (CG) cloud desktop/mobile app development, offline data management, and synchronization.
• Integrations: Experience with API gateway patterns (Apigee or equivalent), middleware, and enterprise integration.
• Engineering Practices: Solid knowledge of CI/CD, Git branching strategies, DevSecOps, and automated testing frameworks.
• Certifications: Salesforce Platform Developer I and II are required. Application Architect is a strong plus, as well as System Architect credentials, Salesforce Certified Agentforce Specialist, and CG Cloud Accredited Professional.
