ROLE SUMMARY

The Cloud Architect is responsible for defining and implementing the organization’s multi-cloud strategy, ensuring secure, scalable, and compliant cloud environments. The role develops cloud governance and reference architectures, aligns with Enterprise Architecture and Security, partners with application teams to deliver cloud solutions, and drives cost optimization and cloud adoption in line with business objectives. Knowledge of Cloud Adoption Frameworks (CAF) and landing zones is required.

ROLE PROFILE

• Define the multi-cloud strategy and governance framework, establish cloud policies and standards, and develop reference architectures and enterprise landing zones. Ensure cloud environments meet security, compliance, networking and IAM.
• Lead the design and review of cloud-native and hybrid architectures, ensuring secure, scalable, and cost-effective solutions aligned with business needs. Establish Infrastructure as Code (IaC) standards, drive cloud cost optimization through FinOps.
• Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, driving cloud adoption, cross-functional collaboration, solution enablement, and best-practice implementation across teams.
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, influencing cloud adoption decisions. Work closely with Enterprise Architecture, Security, DevOps, and App Teams to ensure seamless cloud integration.
• Broker cloud solutions for application teams by evaluating managed services vs. custom deployments. Drive cloud adoption through workshops, best practice documentation, and enablement sessions
• Implement cloud observability, monitoring, and cost optimization strategies. Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and compliance across cloud environments. Support cloud migrations and modernization initiatives through scalable cloud architecture.
• Design and architect enterprise AI and Generative AI solutions on Azure OpenAI and AWS Bedrock, developing reference architectures that leverage LLMs, RAG, AI Agents, and MCP while ensuring security, governance, compliance, and responsible AI practices.
• Build scalable AI platforms and secure AI landing zones, integrating AI services with enterprise applications, APIs, knowledge bases, and business workflows using Kubernetes, serverless services, vector databases, and GPU-enabled infrastructure.

REQUIREMENTS

• 8+ years of experience and 5+ years of hands-on Cloud Architecture experience.
• Strong cloud governance background: security compliance, high availability, and disaster recovery
• Cloud cost management and chargeback reporting experience
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and external partners.
