Build software that powers real-world payments

At Dover Fueling Solutions (DFS), we’re building the next generation of payment terminals for the fuel retail industry - and we’re looking for a Software Engineer to join our team in Turnhout.

Our new Android-based payment platform is developed in Kotlin and designed for use at fuel pumps, in shops, at EV chargers and car washes.

With our current generation already installed on around 50,000 devices, mainly across Europe, you’ll be developing software with a tangible, real-world impact.

What you’ll do

You’ll join an international team of eight developers and help develop the application running directly on our payment terminals.

You’ll take ownership of features and projects from initial requirements through technical analysis, development and testing to implementation. Projects range from new customer functionality to enhancements driven by evolving payment-industry requirements and regulations.

This is a hands-on development role with plenty of room to contribute your own ideas and solutions.

What you bring

We’re open to different levels of experience - from early-career developers looking to grow to experienced software engineers.

You’ll bring:

• A solid foundation in Java and/or Kotlin
• A passion for hands-on software development and problem-solving
• An analytical but pragmatic, results-oriented mindset
• Good English communication skills

Already know Kotlin? Great. Mainly worked with Java? That works too. We’ll support you in making the transition to Kotlin.
