Full Stack Product Engineer
Wellington, New Zealand · Full-time, permanent
Want to own features end-to-end and help build the way modern engineering teams work with AI? We’d love to hear from you.
About Marsello
Marsello is the Loyalty Marketing Platform that helps businesses grow loyal customers wherever they are. We serve over 2,000 brands globally, with teams in New Zealand, Canada and Australia and people contributing from around the world.
The role:
Our engineering team works in an agentic way. Every engineer, at every level, orchestrates AI coding agents rather than writing every line by hand. Good work here comes from framing problems clearly, reviewing agent output carefully, and constantly improving how we build.
As a Full Stack Product Engineer, you’ll take features from a problem statement through to production. You’ll plan the work, brief agents on the parts they’re suited to, write the parts that need a human, and review everything carefully before it ships. You’ll work independently day to day and help shape how the team operates.
What you’ll be doing:
- Owning features and platform work from problem to production
- Reviewing agent-produced code with rigour, so we only ship work you’d be happy to stand behind
- Taking a regular turn on the product support rotation and turning what you learn into product improvements
- Contributing to architecture and technical roadmap conversations
- Improving the prompts, evals, runbooks and tools the team relies on
- Mentoring junior engineers through pairing, review and scoping
What you’ll bring
- 3-5+ years of software development experience in a SaaS environment
- Strong skills in the Microsoft .NET stack (C#, .NET Core, Web APIs) and MongoDB
- Frontend experience with HTML5, JavaScript and React
- Confidence working in AWS and Terraform
- Familiarity with CI/CD and observability practices
- Hands-on experience using AI coding agents (such as Claude, GitHub Copilot or Cursor) for real feature work, not just autocomplete
- A solid grasp of API integration and scalable system design
- Clear communication with both technical and non-technical people
- Curiosity, initiative, and a drive to keep improving
At Marsello, you’ll have real ownership of meaningful features with direct customer impact, the chance to help define how an agentic engineering team works, and a collaborative, supportive team around you.
We also offer flexible working, subsidised Southern Cross Healthcare, Birthday Leave, Technology Allowance and a Wellness Allowance.
We’d love this role to be based in Wellington, alongside most of our engineering team, so it’s easy to collaborate in person.
If this sounds like you, apply now. We’d love to hear from you.
