About Organisation:
Masheda Foods is a Ugandan sustainable aquaculture and value-addition company specializing in premium catfish products.
Job Summary: We are looking for a General Manager to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for Masheda Feeds Ltd. This role is responsible for ensuring end-to-end performance of the feed business efficient production, quality assurance, profitability, and compliance with both local and international standards in aquaculture feed manufacturing.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify new market opportunities regionally and internationally.
- Direct all day-to-day operations of the feed mill (formulation, extrusion, pelleting, drying, and packaging).
- Ensure strict adherence to feed safety standards regulatory requirements, and international benchmarks. (e.g., HACCP, local regulatory/standard bodies)
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Animal Nutrition, Aquaculture, Agriculture, Business Administration, or related field
- A Master’s degree or MBA is preferred
- Minimum of 8 years experience in agribusiness or feed manufacturing. with at least 5 years in senior management.
- Strong knowledge of fish feed formulation, aquaculture systems, and feed mill operations.
