Overview

Based in Manila, Philippines, the role reports to the Regional MCDS team. MCDS offers the successful individual the opportunity to join a highly motivated, fast-paced Regional team who achieve results through positivity and collaboration. Responsible for growing existing long tail accounts as well as developing new business, the position requires a proactive, commercially pragmatic account manager/business developer with strong relationship and influencing skills. Essential to have a strong sales focus, be autonomous, self-driven and act with sense of ownership and urgency.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum 7+ years experience within the issuing, acquiring and/or payments industry with a blend of Account Management and BD sales experience.

Role

• Act as the in-market lead for MCDS supporting a portfolio of long tail accounts in the Philippines
• Manage and grow existing and new customer accounts to drive achievement of sales and net revenue targets
• Operate with strong understanding of customers’ business and support analysis through profitability modeling, financial forecasting and competitive analysis
• Create meaningful/actionable account plans and deliver insightful quarterly business reviews.
• Leverage a strong working knowledge of Mastercard capabilities, products and services to design strategies, pitch proposals/deals to expand Mastercard’s business with assigned accounts
• Take full accountability for the day-to-day management of customer accounts, including handling business issues, preparing data and resolving operational matters (with support from stakeholder teams)
• Conceive, own and drive strategic projects contributing to development of Mastercard share in the long tail segment
• Prepare presentations and meet reporting requirements for internal and customer stakeholders.
• Support the MCDS Regional lead and team strategic initiatives as required

Skills Required

• Experience creating, executing and managing accounts.
• Analytical skills - utilizing internal and external data to grow business/manage performance.
• Payment industry and/or issuing/acquiring experience.
• A collaborator capable of building productive working relationships and coordinating resources across Mastercard’s matrix-based organization.
• Customer focused with sense of urgency to get things done; positive, proactive, curious to learn.
• Demonstrated track record of success with high energy and self-motivation. Good problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on, execution-oriented, willing and able to drive progress of existing projects as well as planning the delivery of new activities.
• Resilient, calm under pressure; well organized and able to prioritize workload.
