Title and Summary

Overview

The Customer Solutions Center (CSC) enables Mastercard to develop innovative, scalable, and differentiated solutions that address evolving customer needs across Financial Institutions, Fintechs, Merchants, Governments, Digital Partners, and ecosystem players.

As a Senior Specialist, Technical Architect, you will serve as a technical subject matter expert within the CSC, partnering closely with Solution Architects, Product Specialists, Account Managers, Technical Account Managers, and Technology teams to translate business opportunities into scalable and executable technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Solution Architecture & Design

• Partner with Solution Architects, Account Management, and Product teams to design customer-centric solutions that address strategic client challenges and growth opportunities.
• Support the development of scalable and locally relevant solution architectures leveraging Mastercard products, services, APIs, data assets, and ecosystem partnerships.
• Translate business requirements into technical solution designs, integration models, process flows, and implementation roadmaps.
• Evaluate technical feasibility, dependencies, risks, and operational considerations for complex customer opportunities.
• Contribute to architecture artifacts including solution blueprints, integration diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Support alignment of solution designs with Mastercard architectural standards and implementation guidelines.

Client Discovery & Pre-Sales Technical Consulting

• Support and facilitate technical discovery sessions to understand client business objectives, technology environments, integration capabilities, and operational processes.
• Conduct architecture assessments and identify opportunities to leverage Mastercard capabilities to solve customer pain points.
• Support client meetings, workshops, RFPs, and solution presentations by providing technical expertise and implementation guidance.
• Provide techno-functional leadership throughout the sales cycle, ensuring proposed solutions are practical, scalable, and implementable.
• Collaborate with customers to evaluate integration approaches and target-state solution designs.
• Identify implementation risks, readiness gaps, and technical dependencies early in the solutioning process.

Integration Architecture & Platform Enablement

• Design and advise on integrations involving issuer processors, acquirer processors, PSPs, gateways, fintech platforms, merchants, wallets, digital ecosystems, and third-party providers.
• Define API integration approaches, data exchange mechanisms, authentication models, and system interaction patterns.
• Collaborate with Product and Technology teams to understand product capabilities, technical requirements, roadmap priorities, and implementation considerations.
• Stay informed on emerging technologies and payment innovations and assess their applicability to customer solutions.

Data Analytics & Technical Insights

• Leverage data and analytics to support solution design, customer engagements, and strategic decision-making.
• Utilize SQL to retrieve, analyse, validate, and troubleshoot transaction, authorization, clearing, settlement, and performance data.
• Use Python and Jupyter Notebooks for exploratory analysis, proof-of-concept development, automation, technical investigations, and insight generation.
• Analyse API logs, processing records, transaction datasets, and operational metrics to identify performance trends and optimization opportunities.
• Build reusable analytical assets, dashboards, and reporting tools to support customer engagements and internal initiatives.
• Translate technical findings into actionable business recommendations for clients and internal stakeholders.

Strategic Growth & Market Initiatives

• Support East SEA markets’ growth priorities by providing technical consulting and architecture support across strategic programs.
• Support go-to-market initiatives by identifying technical requirements, implementation considerations, and client readiness needs.
• Provide technical input into business cases, value propositions, and customer narratives.
• Support complex Financial Institution and non-Financial Institution opportunities in East SEA markets.

Implementation Readiness & Delivery Support

• Support implementation planning and contribute to integration roadmaps.
• Ensure smooth transition from solution design to delivery by coordinating with Technical Account Managers, Product teams, Delivery teams and other internal stakeholders.
• Support early-stage implementations of strategic or customized solutions before transitioning to standard delivery processes.
• Support issue resolution and stakeholder coordination during implementation activities.

All About You

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline.
• 5-8 years of experience in payments, banking technology, fintech, solution architecture, product implementation, consulting, or related technical roles.
• Strong understanding of payment ecosystems, including issuers, acquirers, processors, networks, PSPs, merchants, gateways, and fintech platforms.
• Experience supporting the design and implementation of technology solutions within financial services or payment environments.
• Good understanding of APIs, system integrations, technical architecture, and data flows.
• Ability to understand customer business objectives and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
• Experience conducting technical discovery, requirements gathering, architecture assessments, and solution design activities.
• Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, analysis, troubleshooting, and performance validation.
• Working knowledge of Python and Jupyter Notebooks for data analysis, proof-of-concepts, automation, and technical investigations.
• Experience leveraging data and analytics to generate insights and support technical and business decision-making.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive practical outcomes.
• Experience working with cloud platforms, APIs, microservices, data platforms, or modern software architectures is advantageous.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate across sales, product, technology, operations, implementation teams, and other stakeholders.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts to business audiences.
• Knowledge of Mastercard products, services, and network capabilities is a strong advantage.
• Experience working across Indonesia and East SEA markets is preferred.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Local Language are required.
