Job Summary

The Systems Analyst Lead role collaborates with business partners and application development teams to deliver and maintain required technology solutions. They are responsible for updates to applications / technology platforms, setting up monitoring, responding to issues, troubleshooting and general maintenance of the systems.

They will partner with the team manager on contributing to and implementing the business strategy chosen for the team. They will demonstrate ownership of a high number of strategic tasks for the team.

They will act as the liaison for various IT (Information Technology) infrastructure, security, and development teams. They will also be addressing any requests, inquiries, and escalations from customers, help desk, or business partners.

Job Description

Role Summary

Medline Industries, Inc. Information Services department is seeking a Lead for the TMS Applications team. This individual will report to the Manager - TMS Applications and will be expected to run the scrum team day to day, drive predictable delivery, and ensure the team continuously achieves and exceeds agreed delivery and support metrics. The role requires a hands-on technology and domain leader who can work closely with the TMS Manager, India and US counterparts, business partners, product owners, and technical teams to deliver high-quality solutions and ensure reliable application support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the TMS scrum team day-to-day execution, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and follow-through on committed deliverables.
  • Partner with the TMS Manager to monitor delivery metrics, support KPIs, quality indicators, velocity, productivity, and team capacity, and drive corrective actions where required.
  • Ensure that delivery outcomes are predictable, transparent, and aligned with business priorities, committed timelines, and agreed quality standards.
  • Coordinate application support activities for TMS and related logistics systems, ensuring timely triage, escalation, communication, resolution, and problem management for incidents and service requests.
  • Develop hands-on expertise in the underlying TMS applications, integrations, data flows, business processes, and logistics domain so that the team receives strong technical and functional guidance.
  • Work closely with US counterparts, product owners, business users, architects, QA, infrastructure, DevOps, and integration teams to remove blockers and align on solution approach.
  • Promote Agile discipline, DevOps practices, documentation hygiene, test coverage, release readiness, and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Provide guidance to team members, help build capability, encourage ownership, and support effective utilization of the team in consultation with the TMS Manager.
  • Communicate clearly and proactively on status, risks, dependencies, support issues, delivery progress, and decisions needed from stakeholders.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and consistently interact productively with employees at all levels while adhering to Medline Code of Ethics and corporate policies.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Scrum execution and delivery governance for the TMS application team, with clear ownership of sprint commitments and delivery metrics.
  • Reliable support operations for TMS and related logistics applications, with focus on availability, incident cycle times, RCA quality, and stakeholder communication.
  • Hands-on application and domain depth across TMS processes, integrations, configurations, data flows, and key upstream/downstream dependencies to be able to guide the team members in their work deliverables
  • Continuous improvement across Agile SDLC, support processes, automation opportunities, quality practices, and team productivity.
  • Strong collaboration model with the TMS Manager and US teams to ensure global alignment, transparent communication, and consistent execution.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of overall experience in application delivery, support, or technology leadership, preferably in Logistics, Supply Chain, Warehousing, Transportation, or related enterprise systems.
  • 3+ years of experience leading Agile scrum execution, sprint delivery, support coordination, or technical-functional delivery teams.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise application support, incident management, RCA, release management, testing practices, and operational metrics.
  • Hands-on orientation with ability to understand application behavior, system integrations, data dependencies, domain workflows, and technical issues in depth.
  • Good exposure to Agile practices, DevOps concepts, backlog management, sprint metrics, and continuous improvement methods.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, coordination, and influencing skills, especially while working with global business and technology teams.
  • Ability to work independently, manage ambiguity, identify risks early, and drive actions to closure in collaboration with the TMS Manager.
  • 4-year degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience in Global Capability Centers / Captive IS organizations will be preferred.

Measures of Success

  • Sprint commitments, delivery predictability, and quality outcomes consistently meet or exceed agreed targets.
  • Support SLAs, incident communication, RCA completion, and follow-up actions are managed with discipline and transparency.
  • Team members demonstrate stronger ownership, domain understanding, technical depth, and Agile maturity over time.
  • US counterparts and business stakeholders have clear visibility into progress, risks, dependencies, and decisions needed.
