Role Overview

As the Senior Analytics Platform Engineer, you will be a hands-on technical driver responsible for developing and automating solutions to support the delivery of product roadmaps across multiple Data Science platforms (including Domino Data Lab, Dataiku, Posit, and SAS). Working in a global, multicultural agile setup (working in sprints and using JIRA), you will engage directly with Technical Product Managers, Architects, and other cross-functional team members to design, configure, and deliver infrastructure solutions on AWS. You will also take ownership of testing, maintaining rigorous SDLC documentation, ensuring compliance, and seamlessly releasing capabilities through CI/CD pipelines.
What will you do in this role
Platform Engineering & Delivery: Build, configure, and customize capabilities within leading Data Science platforms (Domino Data Lab, Dataiku, Posit Connect/Workbench, and SAS) based on customer needs. This includes platform upgrades, modernization, and managing integrations (e.g., storage integrations, AI assistants).
Automation & Infrastructure as Code: Implement and maintain robust platform automation using Terraform, Ansible, Git, and CI/CD pipelines for deployments on AWS infrastructure.
Agile Collaboration: Work hands-on within a multicultural agile team, actively participating in sprints, managing work via JIRA, and collaborating with Product Managers and Architects to translate business needs into technical solutions.
Operations & Troubleshooting: Monitor platforms, troubleshoot complex issues, provide root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures to ensure enterprise-grade reliability, robustness, and disaster recovery readiness.
SDLC & Compliance: Update and maintain accurate SDLC documentation for all deployments, ensuring configurations and processes meet strict organizational and industry compliance standards (e.g., GxP).
Knowledge Sharing & Support: Develop technical documentation, provide expert support to internal stakeholders, and enable new AI & ML capabilities within agreed-upon timelines.
Estimation & Planning: Accurately estimate the effort required to deploy new capabilities and deliver them reliably within sprint cycles.
What should you have
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Total 7 to 10 years of experience, with 3+ years of hands-on experience in platform engineering and IT infrastructure projects.
Required Skills:
Data Science Platforms: Strong understanding and hands-on administrative experience with Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) Data Science platforms, particularly Domino Data Lab, Dataiku, Posit (Package Manager, Connect, Workbench), and SAS environments.
Cloud & Infrastructure: Expert knowledge of the AWS cloud ecosystem, including EKS (Kubernetes), storage services, database services, and AI/ML cognitive services.
Automation & DevOps: Proven hands-on experience utilizing Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible) and modern CI/CD practices (Git, Bitbucket, Artifactory) to automate infrastructure provisioning and routine administrative tasks.
Programming & Scripting: Proficiency in R and Python programming, data manipulation, and content creation (Shiny, Streamlit, Dash), alongside robust Linux Shell scripting or PowerShell skills.
Agile & SDLC: Solid experience working on Agile teams (Scrum framework, JIRA) with a deep understanding of rigorous Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes, ideally within a regulated (Pharma/Healthcare) environment.
System Administration: Experience managing various Linux distributions (e.g., RHEL, Ubuntu) and implementing user authentication, access controls, and security policies.
Primary Skills (Must have):
AWS Cloud Infrastructure Administration (AWS preferred; Azure can be considered)

Automation & Configuration Management (Ansible or equivalent tools)

DevOps Practices, CI/CD Pipeline.
Git Version Control (Branching, Commits, Repository Management).

Secondary Skills (Nice to have):
Experience with HPC environments and resource managers like SLURM.
Deep knowledge of containerization platforms and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
Experience with SDLC and validating software in a pharmaceutical context.
Familiarity with integrating modern AI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code) into data science workflows.
