L1 Job Description

Technical Support & Operations

• Responsible for supporting Windows Server, VMware related infrastructure services globally.
• Provide Level 1 technical support for incidents, service requests, problems, and changes, ensuring timely resolution within agreed SLAs.
• Basic troubleshooting for Windows Server operating systems, DNS, DHCP, IIS, File Services.
• Support VMware virtual infrastructure including VM provisioning, resource optimization, snapshots, storage management, and lifecycle activities.
• Participate in 24x7 on-call support scheduled maintenance windows.

• Basic knowledge of PowerShell scripting and automation.
• Develop and maintain scripts to automate repetitive operational and administrative tasks.

• Deliver approved IT improvements and business-driven demand requests within agreed timelines.

Incident, Problem & Change Management

• Basic technical investigations for incidents and service disruptions.
• Knowledge on to root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions for recurring issues.
• Implement and execute infrastructure changes following the Global Change Management Process.
• Ensure qualification, testing, validation, implementation, and post-implementation review activities are completed as required.

Monitoring & Service Reliability

• Monitor system health, performance, capacity, and availability using enterprise monitoring tools.
• Support backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes.
• Ensure operating systems, applications, and infrastructure components are patched and maintained according to company policies.

Security & Compliance

• Support security remediation activities, vulnerability management, and compliance initiatives.

Configuration & Asset Management

• Maintain accurate configuration item (CI) records in CMDB and ensure infrastructure documentation remains current.
• Manage server lifecycle activities including commissioning, maintenance, and decommissioning.

Documentation & Knowledge Management

• Create, maintain, and improve technical documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), knowledge articles, and operational runbooks.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing and continuous learning within the team.

• Drive service reviews, governance meetings, and continual service improvement initiatives.
