At Minix, research is where alpha begins. As a Quantitative Researcher, you’ll be immersed in data, experimentation, and innovation-developing predictive models that drive our trading systems. This role sits at the intersection of machine learning, statistical modeling, and high-frequency market behavior. You’ll uncover patterns, validate hypotheses, and partner with traders and engineers to turn ideas into scalable, high-impact strategies.

What You'll Do
- Build and optimize AI-driven trading models on Minix’s proprietary research platform
- Analyze large volumes of structured and unstructured financial data to identify tradable signals
- Conduct research on market microstructure and high-frequency alpha patterns
- Develop and validate statistical and machine learning models to predict market dynamics
- Collaborate closely with traders, developers, and other researchers to test and deploy strategies
- Contribute to internal tools, research libraries, and simulation environments
- Provide mentorship to interns and junior team members
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field
- 0-3 years of experience in quantitative research or algorithmic model development
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with deep curiosity for financial systems
- Programming proficiency in C++ or C; experience with Python, Linux, and shell scripting is a plus
- Exposure to predictive modeling, data preprocessing, and alpha signal discovery
- Comfortable with large-scale data, backtesting environments, and high-performance systems
- Strong communication skills and collaborative nature in cross-functional teams
- Previous experience in startups or HFT environments is a plus
