Michels Corporation is a family-owned energy and infrastructure contractor that builds and maintains pipelines, power lines, substations, underground utilities, roads and other civil works, headquartered in Brownsville, Wisconsin, near Fond du Lac. Founded in 1959, it operates as a family of companies including Michels Power, Michels Pipeline, Michels Road & Stone and Mi-Tech Services, with around 8,000 people and 18,000 pieces of heavy equipment. Its openings range from equipment operators, water truck drivers, plumbers and gas technicians to construction inspectors, substation estimators, project managers, engineers and safety coordinators.

As a full-service engineering, design, and construction services firm, Mi-Tech delivers comprehensive, in-house support for utility, infrastructure and heavy civil projects from planning and design through execution. Our multidisciplinary team provides practical, innovative solutions that emphasize cost efficiency, constructability, and long-term value. Founded in 1985, Mi-Tech has built a reputation for excellence in engineering, design, environmental, laboratory, technical, and field support across the many industries we serve. As a proud member of the Michels Family of Companies, Mi-Tech collaborates across our internationally respected roster of construction craft and professionals to deliver integrated, end-to-end solutions that meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

As a Civil Design Engineer - Geostructural & Temporary Works with Mi-Tech Services, you'll support the design and analysis of temporary and permanent structures associated with utility, infrastructure, and heavy civil construction projects. Working alongside experienced engineers, you'll develop practical, constructible engineering solutions for projects involving foundations, retaining walls, earth retention systems, excavation support, and temporary construction structures.

Responsibilities include preparing engineering calculations, developing and reviewing design and shop drawings, evaluating structural loads and soil-structure interaction, and supporting project pursuits through preliminary engineering analyses and design evaluations. You'll collaborate with structural and geotechnical engineers, project managers, and field construction teams to solve technical challenges and support safe, efficient project execution.

This position offers opportunities to develop technical expertise, gain exposure to complex infrastructure projects, and grow professionally within the Michels Family of Companies.
