Working as a PCE Engineer at Micron, you will coordinate lab analysis with advanced data science and statistical modeling approaches. The role is essential for transforming material characterization data into actionable insights. It helps identify issues early and drive supplier quality process improvements. You will operate sophisticated tools and collaborate with a diverse, active team to foster ongoing improvement and innovation in our workflows. Job Responsibilities

• Combine laboratory analysis with data science and statistical modeling to convert material characterization data into practical quality insights.
• Enable timely spotting of inconsistencies and oversight of supplier quality through meticulous data evaluation and interpretation.
• Work together with multiple departments to coordinate and determine system control strategies.
• Effectively use AI-assisted tools and insights to improve efficiency, quality, and effectiveness while adhering to organizational standards and legal requirements.
• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI-enabled improvements within your scope of work.

Required Qualifications

• A master’sor bachelor’sdegree in data science, materials science, chemical engineering, or statistics is necessary.
• Established proficiency in applying data science to laboratory data analysis involving materials, processes, or quality engineering.
• Ability to interpret experimental and material behavior data to drive actionable insights.
• Proven capability to work alongside various departments on strategy alignment and system control.
• Experience applying AI-based tools in everyday activities to improve efficiency and quality.
• Dedication to perpetual development by detecting and sharing AI-supported upgrades.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Python/R, SQL, and JMP for analysis and automation.
• Ability to translate complex data into clear engineering actions.
• Experience with AI and modeling techniques for monitoring manufacturing and ensuring supplier quality.

Work Schedule

• R Shift: Weekdays, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
