It built the personal computing era around the Windows operating system and the Office productivity suite, and now generates the largest share of its revenue from Azure cloud infrastructure and commercial subscriptions. The company also owns GitHub, LinkedIn and the Xbox gaming business, and has invested heavily in artificial intelligence through its partnership with OpenAI and the Copilot assistants embedded across its products.
Overview

In this role, you will lead a team of Cybersecurity Cloud Solution Architects who act as trusted technical advisors to customers and bring the voice of the customer into Microsoft. You will draw on customer insights, market intelligence, and technical expertise to help shape our approach to cybersecurity, cloud, and AI.

You will build lasting relationships with senior customer stakeholders, helping them navigate complex security challenges and positioning Microsoft as a strategic cybersecurity partner. You will coach your team to design secure, resilient architectures that deliver measurable business outcomes, from cybersecurity modernization to securing AI across identities, data, infrastructure, applications, models, copilots, and agents.

You will also help customers realize value from Microsoft’s cybersecurity platform by driving adoption, usage, and services growth, resolving blockers, and scaling proven practices across engagements. As a people leader, you will attract and develop diverse talent, strengthen technical and leadership capabilities, and foster a culture of accountability, inclusion, and continuous improvement.

You will help customers translate cybersecurity, resilience, compliance, sovereignty, and AI security requirements into practical solutions using Microsoft capabilities. You will focus on measurable business value, sustained adoption, customer satisfaction, and long-term outcomes. This capability is required upon hire and critical to the role.

Business Relationship Management

You will build trusted relationships with CISOs, deputy CISOs, executives, technical decision makers, and internal stakeholders. You will bring together executive presence, technical credibility, empathy, and constructive challenge to align stakeholders around shared priorities.

Change Management and Adoption

You will help customers adopt Microsoft’s cybersecurity platform within their organizations. This includes establishing effective governance, supporting organizational change and skills development, clarifying accountability, and measuring the value achieved.

Cybersecurity Market and Competitor Intelligence

You will stay informed about cybersecurity market dynamics, emerging threats, regulations, competitors, and service providers. You will use these insights to show how Microsoft’s integrated platform addresses customer needs across identity, data, cloud, Security Operations, exposure management, AI security, and incident response.

Customer Advocacy

You will anticipate customer needs, address concerns, and ensure that customer priorities are heard within Microsoft. You will turn feedback into actionable improvements across product, engineering, support, and services teams.

Trusted Cybersecurity Advisor

You will connect cybersecurity strategy and architecture to customers’ business risks, regulatory obligations, resilience needs, and transformation priorities. Through this approach, you will build trust and create preference for Microsoft’s end-to-end cybersecurity platform.

Leading with Technical Intensity

You will strengthen your team’s cybersecurity expertise while developing its broader cloud, data, and AI capabilities. You will apply architectural insight and bring in the right specialists at each stage of the customer journey.

Understanding the Business

You will help customers build secure, resilient, governed, and data-ready foundations for human-AI operating models, AI agents, and AI-enabled business processes.

Securing AI

You will advise customers on securing AI end to end, across identities, data, applications, models, copilots, agents, infrastructure, and supply chains. Your guidance will address governance, access controls, security posture, threat detection, and risks associated with agentic AI.

Best-Practice Development and Reuse

You will encourage your team to develop, validate, and share reusable architectures, delivery patterns, intellectual property, and customer success stories. This will help improve quality and consistency while reducing time to value for customers.

Responsibilities

Business Impact

You will model cross-functional collaboration across Microsoft and ensure that security is part of every customer conversation. You will align engagements with customers’ cybersecurity priorities, regulatory obligations, architectural requirements, and agreed measures of success.

You will guide your team in designing secure, resilient, AI-ready solutions that support adoption, retention, consumption, usage, and Unified expansion. You will also turn market trends, emerging threats, and customer demand into business opportunities and repeatable engagements.

To support effective execution, you will maintain pipeline accuracy, track milestones and risks, and ensure that systems of record are kept up to date. You will anticipate cybersecurity, privacy, compliance, and delivery risks, with clear governance, ownership, and escalation paths in place.

Customer Centricity

You will bring together sales, architecture, delivery, support, engineering, and incident response teams to create a connected customer experience. You will build strategic relationships with security, data, AI, and business leaders, helping them connect technical decisions to business value and resilience.

Working with customers, you will define success measures and roadmaps for cybersecurity modernization, platform consolidation, Zero Trust, secure AI, and Frontier Firm transformation. When challenges arise, you will lead plans to restore customer confidence by mobilizing expertise, removing blockers, and rebuilding trust.

You will also bring customer feedback and insights from across accounts back into Microsoft to help improve products, services, and investment priorities.

People Management

You will deliver results through empowerment and accountability, guided by Microsoft’s model, coach, care approach. As a role model, you will demonstrate Microsoft’s culture, values, and leadership principles alongside strong cybersecurity leadership. As a coach, you will set clear objectives, enable collaboration across teams, and develop your team’s technical and leadership capabilities. You will develop reusable guidance for emerging cybersecurity, AI security, sovereignty, data protection, and regulatory scenarios. You will set skilling and certification priorities so that the team maintains deep cybersecurity expertise alongside broader business and technology capabilities.
