Digital Solution Engineer - Digital Natives & Startups- Cloud& AI

We are hiring Solution Engineers to help high-growth Digital Native and Startup customers build, modernize and scale on Microsoft Azure. This role wins the technical decision by connecting customer product and business outcomes to practical cloud, AI, data and application architectures, then proving those architectures through demos, workshops, pilots and production-readiness plans.

The successful candidate will work across account teams, specialists, partners, customer success, engineering and product groups to unblock adoption, accelerate opportunities and turn customer ambition into measurable Azure usage, revenue and long-term platform commitment.

The Solution Engineer will serve as a technical advisor for priority EMEA customers, leading technical discovery, architecture, demonstrations, proofs of concept, and production-readiness engagements. The role will translate business and AI requirements into executable Azure solution plans, remove technical blockers, influence customer decision makers, and accelerate time to production and Azure consumption.

Responsibilities

• Own technical strategy for assigned Digital Native and Startup customers from discovery through technical close, MVP, pilotand production adoption.

• Lead architecture-led customer conversations across Azure AI, application innovation, data platforms, developer tools, cloud operations, governanceand security.

• Design credible end-to-end solutions using services such as Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, agents and RAG patterns, Azure Kubernetes Service, containers, serverless, APIs, Cosmos DB, Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, Power BIand GitHub.

• Deliver demos, whiteboarding sessions, architecture workshops, proof of concepts and technical validations that demonstrateclear business value and path to production.

• Translate customer product goals, business priorities and technical complexity into decision criteria, success plans, implementationroadmapsand measurable outcomes.

• Identifyand remove technical blockers including architecture gaps, security concerns, capacity and quota constraints, migration risks, integration challengesand operational readiness issues.

• Partner with account executives, specialistsand customer success teams to support pipeline creation, opportunity progression, technical win documentation, milestone hygieneand forecast quality.

• Differentiate Microsoft against competitors by positioning Azure as a trusted, secure, scalableand integrated platform for AI-native software companies.

• Capture reusable patterns, lessons learned, field feedback and customer insights so the Digital Natives business can scale consistently across US, Asiaand EMEA.

Qualifications

• Experience in technical pre-sales, solution engineering, cloud architecture, software engineering, technical consultingor equivalent customer-facing technical role.

• Demonstrated ability to influence technical and business stakeholders, including CTOs, founders, engineering leaders, architectsand product leaders.

• Hands-on understanding of cloud architecture and modern application design, including security, reliability, scalability, integrationand operations.

• Practical experience with AI, data, analytics, application modernizationor developer platform solutions on Azure or comparable cloud platforms.

• Experience creating demos, prototypes, POCs, pilotsor MVPs that lead to technical decisions and production adoption.

• Strong communication, storytellingand collaboration skills; ability to drive consensus without direct authority.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred qualifications

• Depth in one or more of: Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, agentic systems, RAG, Azure Kubernetes Service, containers, serverless, API platforms, Cosmos DB, Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, Power BIor GitHub.

• Experience with Digital Native, Startup, SaaS, marketplace, venture-backed or product-led-growth customer scenarios.

• Understanding ofAI governance, Responsible AI, security, compliance, model evaluation, observability, cost managementand FinOps.

• Ability to support technical sales motions across complex territories, multiple stakeholdersand fast-moving customer priorities.

• Experience with competitive positioning and objection handling in AI, cloud platform, dataor developer tool markets.

Digital Solution Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across Germany is € 81,500.00 - € 139,200.00 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
