Mechanical Design Engineer (HVAC)

We are seeking a proficient Mechanical Design Engineer to join our engineering team. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimising mechanical systems and components for various construction projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed mechanical designs, drawings, and specifications for HVAC, plumbing, and other mechanical systems.
• Use CAD and BIM software (AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks) to prepare layouts and 3D models.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate mechanical designs with architectural and structural layouts.
• Conduct engineering calculations and simulations to verify design viability and performance.
• Review and revise designs based on project requirements, codes, and client feedback.
• Ensure all designs comply with local regulations and industry standards.
• Coordinate with contractors, and suppliers to support project execution.
• Participate in site visits to monitor installation and resolve design-related issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical design engineering, preferably in the construction industry.
• Proficiency in CAD and BIM software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and SolidWorks.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection.
• Familiarity with local building codes and regulations.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Previous experience with a consultant.
