About Molin

Mission: Turn every online business into a one-person operation.

We are looking for a passionate senior software engineer to help us build the best support & sales AI agent for e-commerce. Molin's current tech powers AI chatbots for 1,000+ online shops, handling over 1 million messages each month, serving large customers such as Euronics, Decathlon, and Rossmann.

You'll be joining our CTO, our Founding Engineer #1 (aka senior full-stack tech wizard), and Claude. You will be Founding Engineer #2.

Engineering at Molin

Our engineering workflow is powered by Claude Code trained on 50k tokens of hand-written READMEs, docs, and skills.

We've automated all our operational toil with an internal CLI connected to our databases, observability systems, Slack, cloud hosting accounts, and more. Pretty much everything is automated. You'll use cutting-edge AI-assisted development practices.

What you'll do

• Build new features for our dashboard, our AI agent, our backend deployed at the edge, and new projects such as Ninja.new (browser-using AI agent)
• Build and maintain integrations with e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, Shoper, Shoprenter
• Experiment with cutting-edge technologies: browser-using agents, custom-built vector DBs, low-latency voice agents (speech recognition + LLMs + TTS), search reranking and fusion algorithms
• Ensure our frontend, backend, and databases stay lean & fast by writing clean code and optimizing slow queries
• Support the sales & marketing teams with tools to automate their workflows
• Improve quality-of-life for the Eng team by creating internal CLIs and driving adoption of new AI tools

• Primarily JS/TS, deployed on Cloudflare Workers
• PostgreSQL as our main DB
• ClickHouse for analytics & vector search
• Web Components, TailwindCSS, tRPC-style type safety
• In-house AI scraper, custom tools for top-notch DX
• GitHub for source control, project management, RFCs, CI/CD

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience & track record of shipping big features
• In-depth understanding of web apps & servers, APIs, SQL
• Ability to come up with innovative solutions, solving problems independently
• Familiarity with JavaScript, TypeScript, SQL and React/similar
• Strong knowledge of algorithms & complexity analysis
• Power user of Claude Code/Codex with experience reviewing LLM-generated code
