DevOps Engineer II

Responsibilities:

• Maintain the production uptime and all SLAs for a real-time, high-scale, round-the-clock system.
• Develop/execute scenario-specific playbooks with high accuracy and efficiency.
• Implement and maintain the DevOps tools and culture.
• Plan and manage the DevOps projects organisation-wide.
• Participate in the on-call rotations and keep unblocking the system and people.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience with DevOps tools and technologies, and exposure to managing and delivering DevOps projects.
• Proficiency in the Linux environment, with hands-on troubleshooting skills of OS, performance optimisations, and network-related issues.
• Proficiency and mindset to see the infrastructure as code using Terraform or Ansible.
• Working experience and a detailed understanding of common AWS services like EC2 EBS, ELBs, S3 VPC, IAM, RedShift, EKS, RDS, Route53 CloudFront, etc.
• Any AWS Certification will be considered as an added value.
• Working experience in the production-grade Kubernetes ecosystem.
• Skills are EKS, Helm, Spinnaker, and Prometheus.
• CKA will be considered as a plus.
• Proficiency in scripting (Python preferred or Bash).
• Coding experience will be considered as a plus.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD systems and orchestration tools.
• Experience in Jenkins, Spinnaker, etc.
• Hands-on experience with industry-standard monitoring and alerting tools.
• Experience in CloudWatch, TIG Stack, Prometheus, Alert Manager, PagerDuty, Nagios, and Monit.
• Hands-on experience with industry-standard log analytics platforms like ELK and anomaly detection tools.
• Good understanding and experience of databases like MongoDB, MySQL, CouchBase, and ScyllaDB will be a plus.
• Good understanding and experience of commonly used Distributed Systems components like Kafka, Redis, RabbitMQ, Config Management, Zookeeper and Service Discovery Systems.
• Experience with software version control systems, especially Git.
• Knowledge of web servers and load balancers.
