Lead Data Analyst

We are looking for an exceptional Lead Data Analyst to join our fast-paced, data-driven gaming team. This role is ideal for a highly analytical professional with deep expertise in SQL, Python, experimentation, and product analytics. You will lead high-impact analytics initiatives, work with massive-scale datasets, influence product and marketing strategy, and mentor a team of analysts to drive business growth.

Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end analytics and data science projects aligned with business and product objectives.
• Drive deep-dive analysis across Product Analytics, Marketing Analytics, User Acquisition (UA), and Gaming Performance.
• Partner with Product, Marketing, Engineering, and Leadership teams to deliver actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
• Optimise user acquisition campaigns by analysing marketing performance, ROI, customer acquisition cost (CAC), and campaign effectiveness.
• Design, execute, and interpret A/B tests and experiments to improve product features and user engagement.
• Build scalable dashboards, reporting frameworks, and automated analytics pipelines.
• Design and maintain data pipelines connecting games, ML models, data warehouses, and third-party platforms.
• Mentor and guide data analysts by establishing best practices and ensuring analytical excellence.
• Present business insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders and leadership teams.
• Drive continuous improvements in data quality, reporting accuracy, and decision-making processes.

Requirements:

• 6+ years of experience in Data Analytics, preferably in Gaming, Consumer Tech, Internet, or Digital Product companies.
• Expert-level proficiency in SQL with experience handling large-scale datasets.
• Strong programming skills in Python for analytics, automation, and data processing.
• Strong understanding of Statistics, Experimentation, Hypothesis Testing, and A/B Testing.
• Extensive experience in Product Analytics, Marketing Analytics, and User Acquisition (UA) Analytics.
• Hands-on experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Metabase, or QlikView.
• Strong knowledge of data modelling, ETL pipelines, and performance optimisation.
• Experience working with big data technologies such as Athena, Redshift, Hive, Spark, or similar platforms.
• Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong communication and data storytelling abilities with experience presenting to senior leadership.

Good to Have:

• Prior experience in the Gaming industry.
• Experience analysing player retention, monetisation, engagement, and in-game behaviour.
• Exposure to machine learning models and predictive analytics.
• Experience with campaign attribution, ROI optimisation, and marketing performance measurement.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Data Science, or a related quantitative field.
