Software Engineer Intern (Mapping/Calibration)

We are seeking highly motivated Bachelor’s students to join our team as an Intern to participate in research and development for the Mapping team. This is an exceptional opportunity to contribute directly to the advancement of autonomous vehicle technology, working alongside a team that is leading the industry in mapping  innovation.

The internship will take place in our Singapore office and we expect a full-time internship period of at least 5 months. We offer flexible working hours and allow for remote work; however, the candidate will need to reside in Singapore for the duration of the internship.

What you’ll be doing:

• Develop and validate new algorithms for mapping technologies taking them from POC stage to production code
• Improve efficiency for data processing systems handling terabytes of data
• Participate in full life cycle of Mapping team’s projects including Software Development, Testing, and Deployment 
• Collaborate effectively within and across teams with different domain expertise including cloud systems, ML systems and on-board system

What we are looking for:

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s course  in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a similar technical field of study
• Strong proficiency in C++ language and modern Software Engineering principles
• Proficiency in other languages especially Python is an added advantage
• Strong background in Linear Algebra and Transformations
• Nice to have: Experience with State Estimation and SLAM technologies
• Nice to have: Experience working with Lidars, Cameras or other AV system
