We are looking for an experienced Senior/Lead AQA Engineer to join a long-term project.
The product is a complex desktop application for Windows and macOS focused on image processing, computer vision, RAW photo processing, color accuracy, optical corrections, and AI-based image enhancement.
The project involves technically challenging QA activities at the intersection of test automation, desktop software, image processing, computer vision, AI, and hardware compatibility.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and evolve the existing test automation framework.
- Extend automated test coverage in accordance with existing test strategies and image-quality pipelines.
- Develop and maintain UAT and E2E automated tests integrated into CI/CD.
- Support, improve, and develop internal QA tools used to simplify and evolve testing processes.
- Convert existing manual test cases into automated tests.
- Help transform the testing pyramid toward significantly higher automated coverage and reduced manual regression effort.
- Develop and maintain automated tests using C++ and Python.
- Work with Lua-based test scenarios and presets where required.
- Develop and maintain data-driven and reference-based regression tests using images, EXIF data, calibration data, and other reference artifacts.
- Integrate automated tests into CI pipelines and improve test execution reliability.
- Perform benchmarking and support performance profiling activities.
- Test AI-based image-processing functionality, including validation of output quality and system behavior.
- Investigate AI pipeline issues together with developers.
- Validate application behavior across different CPU, GPU, and NPU configurations.
- Prepare and maintain tests for newly supported camera and lens models.
- Verify correct support of new cameras and imaging hardware across the product.
- Analyze requirements, technical documentation, logs, and application behavior.
- Investigate complex defects together with developers.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve automation architecture, coverage, reliability, and maintainability.
- Participate in technical discussions directly with customer representatives.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 6+ years of professional experience in Test Automation / AQA.
- Strong development-oriented mindset and good understanding of software engineering principles.
- Strong practical experience with C++ and/or Python for test automation.
- Experience developing and maintaining automation frameworks.
- Experience with C++ testing frameworks such as GTest or Catch2.
- Experience with CMake / CTest.
- Practical experience with Python unittest or similar testing frameworks.
- Strong experience testing desktop applications.
- Good understanding of desktop application architecture.
- Experience developing and maintaining automated test scenarios.
- Experience with functional, regression, UAT, and end-to-end automation.
- Experience with data-driven testing.
- Experience with reference-based regression testing or validation against predefined expected results.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to analyze logs, investigate failures, and perform root-cause analysis.
- Ability to quickly understand complex technical documentation and internal engineering processes.
- Willingness and ability to understand the specifics of supporting new camera and lens models.
- Strong practical experience using AI assistants such as Claude in daily engineering activities.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with customer stakeholders.
- Proactive and ownership-driven mindset.
- English level B2+ for regular communication with the customer.
