A fantastic opportunity has presented itself for a Technical Writer - Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) reporting to Executive Manager, Governance Risk and Compliance - Safety Environment and Wellbeing.
A bit about your role
The Technical Writer, Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) works closely with subject matter experts across nbn to develop, maintain and continuously improve clear, practical and compliant HSE documentation. The role translates complex legislative, regulatory and operational requirements into accessible standards, procedures, work instructions, learning resources and guidance materials that support safe and effective ways of working. It also contributes to HSE governance, quality assurance and stakeholder engagement, while leveraging AI and digital tools to enhance content development, improve document accessibility, strengthen metadata and searchability, and support the ongoing digital transformation and AI-readiness of the HSE Management System.
A bit about you
The ideal candidate is an experienced technical writing or documentation professional with the ability to develop and maintain controlled management system documentation in complex environments. They can translate technical, legislative and operational requirements into clear, practical and user-friendly content, while applying strong written communication, editing and quality assurance skills. The role requires effective stakeholder engagement, the ability to gather and validate information from subject matter experts, and a focus on delivering documentation that supports business outcomes, compliance and continuous improvement. Experience using digital and AI-enabled tools to enhance content quality, accessibility and document management will be highly regarded.
