Junior Executive - IT Operations Engineer

The job holder is responsible for ensuring the uninterrupted operation of the Bank's critical IT infrastructure, core banking systems, and production applications. You will play a key role in maintaining service availability, operational efficiency, and compliance with regulatory and security standards.

The Job:

• Execute and oversee day-to-day IT operations to ensure the smooth functioning of production systems and banking applications
• Perform and monitor End-of-Day (EOD) processing activities to ensure the timely completion of daily banking operations
• Monitor IT infrastructure, applications, and Network Operations Center (NOC) activities to maintain optimal system performance and availability
• Lead operational shifts and ensure effective shift handovers to maintain business continuity
• Ensure timely escalation of critical incidents and coordinate resolution efforts until closure
• Provide first-level support for the Core Banking System (CBS) and other critical production applications in accordance with defined SLAs and operational procedures
• Manage and monitor backup operations, restoration activities, backup validation, and data archival processes
• Administer user accounts, access controls, and system permissions in compliance with information security policies and standards
• Conduct proactive system health checks, log monitoring, and performance analysis to identify and resolve potential issues before service disruptions occur
• Maintain and update operational procedures, run books, and knowledge repositories to support operational excellence and service continuity
• Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless operational support
• Ensure compliance with operational, security, audit, and regulatory requirements
