Cost Accountant

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you’ll take ownership of product costing, inventory analysis and variance reporting, helping management make informed commercial decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage product costing, costing standards and bills of materials (BOMs) to maintain accurate production costs
• Monitor inventory and analyse material usage, stock movements and cost variances
• Investigate costing discrepancies and production variances, highlighting their impact on margins
• Use ERP systems and advanced Excel to analyse cost data, strengthen reporting and support financial decision-making

• CIMA qualified; BCom Accounting, Cost Management or Finance preferred
• Minimum 5 years’ cost accounting experience within a manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of standard costing, BOMs, inventory control and variance analysis
• Proven ERP system capability, advanced Excel skills and the ability to translate costing data into meaningful commercial insight
