Junior Accountant

A well-established organisation is seeking a detail-oriented and ambitious Junior Accountant to join its finance team in Pretoria East. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a finance professional looking to broaden their accounting experience across bookkeeping, reconciliations, trial balance preparation, and management accounting. Working closely with senior finance professionals, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the overall finance function.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform bookkeeping duties up to trial balance
• Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations
• Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts
• Process and reconcile cashbooks
• Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable records
• Prepare journal entries and general ledger reconciliations
• Assist with month-end and year-end reporting processes
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes where required
• Assist with ad hoc finance and administrative duties

• Matric
• BCom Degree or Bookkeeping Certificate
• 1-2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
• Experience preparing trial balances and balance sheet reconciliations
• Exposure to management accounts advantageous
• Good understanding of accounting principles
• Strong analytical and numerical skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
