Senior Account Manager

Our client is an established technology services business delivering managed IT solutions, cloud services, cybersecurity, infrastructure, networking, and digital transformation solutions to a diverse customer base. They are seeking an experienced Senior Account Manager to take ownership of key client relationships and drive long-term partnership growth.

In this role, you will be responsible for understanding your clients' business objectives, identifying opportunities to enhance their technology environments, and ensuring the successful delivery of solutions through collaboration with internal technical and operational teams. You will serve as a strategic advisor while maintaining accountability for the overall health and growth of your accounts.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
• Act as a trusted advisor, aligning technology solutions with client business objectives.
• Identify opportunities to expand existing accounts and generate new revenue streams.
• Manage quotations, proposals, renewals, and commercial discussions.
• Maintain an active sales pipeline and drive opportunities through the sales cycle.
• Conduct regular client reviews, service meetings, and strategic planning sessions.
• Collaborate with technical, operations, procurement, and project teams to deliver successful outcomes.
• Monitor service performance, SLA adherence, and client satisfaction levels.
• Manage client expectations and assist with escalations when required.
• Keep clients informed of technology trends, security developments, and service enhancements.
• Ensure CRM and opportunity records are maintained accurately.
• Drive account retention, growth, and customer success initiatives.

Job Experience and Skills Required

• 8+ years of experience in Account Management, Client Relationship Management, or a similar client-facing role within the ICT sector.
• Proven experience within Managed Services, IT Services, Systems Integration, or technology solutions environments.
• Strong track record of managing strategic and enterprise-level client accounts.
• Experience identifying, developing, and closing opportunities within existing accounts.
• Strong commercial acumen and solution-selling capabilities.
• Ability to engage confidently with executives, business leaders, and technical stakeholders.
• Good understanding of Managed Services, Cloud Solutions, Microsoft 365, Infrastructure, Networking, Cybersecurity, Connectivity, Backup & Disaster Recovery, and SaaS solutions.
• Experience with CRM, PSA, or ITSM platforms.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously.
• Relevant IT, cloud, networking, cybersecurity, or ITIL certifications will be advantageous.
