As an IT Infrastructure Specialist, you will be part of a proactive team responsible for delivering secure, reliable and resilient IT services that support staff and patients across our organisation and partner networks. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a broad range of technologies across cloud, hybrid and on-premises environments, contributing to both operational support and strategic projects. You will have the chance to solve complex technical challenges, drive service improvements and play a key role in strengthening our cyber security and infrastructure capabilities. We are looking for motivated individuals who enjoy continuous learning, collaboration and innovation. In return, you will gain exposure to a diverse technology estate, work alongside experienced professionals, and have opportunities to develop your technical expertise and career within a supportive NHS environment. If you are passionate about technology, enjoy making a tangible difference, and want your work to directly support the delivery of high-quality healthcare services, we would love to hear from you.

Main duties

As an IT Infrastructure Specialist, you will play a key role in maintaining and developing the digital infrastructure that supports healthcare services across the Integrated Care System. Working within a skilled technical team, you will provide expert support across a broad range of technologies, helping to ensure systems remain secure, reliable and available for colleagues and healthcare providers. The role involves troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues, supporting cloud and on-premises infrastructure, implementing system improvements, and contributing to projects that modernise and strengthen digital services. You will help maintain high standards of cyber security, support business continuity and disaster recovery arrangements, and ensure infrastructure is well documented and managed throughout its lifecycle. You will work closely with colleagues, suppliers and partner organisations to deliver technical solutions, share knowledge and support continuous service improvement. The post offers the opportunity to work across a varied technology estate, contribute to strategic infrastructure developments, and influence how digital services evolve within a large and developing NHS organisation. This is an ideal opportunity for a technically capable infrastructure professional who enjoys problem solving, working across diverse technologies, and making a direct contribution to services that support patient care and organisational effectiveness.
