Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) with strong expertise in Banking, Solution Engineering, Data Integration, APIs, Enterprise Applications, and Client-Facing Technology Delivery. The ideal candidate will work directly with business stakeholders, technology teams, and banking clients to understand business challenges and deliver scalable technology solutions.

The candidate should possess strong technical problem-solving skills, hands-on experience with enterprise applications, data analysis, integrations, and software development, along with the ability to engage with business and technology stakeholders. The role requires a combination of technical expertise, consulting capabilities, solution design, and customer engagement to drive successful implementation and adoption of solutions within banking environments.

The role will work closely with Product Teams, Architects, Developers, Business Analysts, Operations Teams, and Banking Stakeholders to design and implement business-critical solutions.

Day to Day Job Duties

• Partner with banking clients and internal stakeholders to understand business requirements, operational processes, and technical challenges.
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions and implementation plans.
• Design, develop, and customize solutions to address client-specific business needs.
• Analyze enterprise data, business workflows, and system integrations to identify improvement opportunities.
• Develop proof of concepts, prototypes, and solution accelerators to demonstrate business value.
• Work closely with engineering teams to configure, customize, and deploy solutions.
• Integrate enterprise systems using APIs, databases, messaging platforms, and middleware technologies.
• Troubleshoot complex application, integration, performance, and data-related issues.
• Support solution deployment, user onboarding, training, and adoption activities.
• Conduct root cause analysis and recommend long-term remediation strategies.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to provide customer feedback and drive product improvements.
• Support data migration, system modernization, and digital transformation initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with banking regulations, security standards, and organizational governance requirements.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, solution workshops, architecture reviews, and stakeholder presentations.
• Build trusted relationships with client business and technology teams.

Basic Qualifications

• 7-12+ years of experience in Solution Engineering, Technical Consulting, Software Engineering, Business Technology, or similar roles.
• Experience working within Banking, Financial Services, Capital Markets, Wealth Management, or Lending domains.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to work directly with clients.
• Experience gathering requirements and translating business problems into technical solutions.
• Strong understanding of enterprise application architecture and system integrations.
• Experience working with APIs, databases, and data analysis.
• Experience supporting solution implementation and production environments.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.

Core Technical Skills

• Solution Engineering: Technical Design, Solution Architecture, Proof of Concepts, Technical Consulting
• Programming: Java, Python, SQL, or similar technologies
• Data Analysis: SQL, Data Validation, Data Mapping, Data Reconciliation
• Integration Technologies: REST APIs, SOAP APIs, Microservices, Event-Driven Integrations
• Databases: Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar RDBMS
• Cloud Platforms: Azure, AWS, GCP (preferred)

• Experience working on digital transformation initiatives within banking organizations.
• Exposure to banking platforms, core banking systems, payment systems, or financial data platforms.
• Experience with AI/GenAI-enabled business solutions.
• Knowledge of security, compliance, and regulatory requirements in financial services.
• Experience with data modernization, cloud migration, or application modernization programs.
• Exposure to analytics, reporting, and business intelligence solutions.
• Experience presenting technical solutions to executive stakeholders.
• Strong consulting, stakeholder management, and client engagement skills.

Preferred Experience Profile

• 7-12+ years of experience in Solution Engineering, Technical Consulting, or Software Engineering roles.
• Strong banking and financial services domain experience.
• Experience working directly with clients and business stakeholders.
• Strong technical background with ability to understand and solve complex business problems.
• Experience integrating enterprise applications and data platforms.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical audiences.
• Experience leading workshops, solution discussions, and client-facing engagements.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
• Ability to drive solutions from discovery through implementation and adoption.
