We are currently seeking a Systems Integration Specialist Advisor to join our team in hyderabad, Telangana (IN-TG), India (IN).
Job Title: Network Security Engineer
Job Summary
The Network Security Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and monitoring an organization's network security infrastructure. This role ensures the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of business-critical systems by protecting networks, applications, and data from cyber threats and unauthorized access.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage network security solutions such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, web proxies, and network access control systems.
- Monitor network traffic and security alerts using SIEM and security monitoring tools.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation activities.
- Implement and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures.
- Investigate, analyze, and respond to security incidents and breaches.
- Configure and maintain secure network architectures across on-premises and cloud environments.
- Perform firewall rule reviews, network segmentation, and access control management.
- Collaborate with IT infrastructure, cloud, and application teams to ensure security best practices are followed.
- Support compliance initiatives related to ISO 27001, NIST, PCI-DSS, SOX, GDPR, or other applicable standards.
- Participate in disaster recovery planning, business continuity, and security audits.
- Evaluate emerging security technologies and recommend improvements.
Required Skills
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, and routing/switching technologies.
- Experience with firewalls such as Palo Alto, Check Point, Cisco ASA/Firepower, Fortinet, or Juniper.
- Hands-on experience with IDS/IPS solutions.
- Knowledge of VPN technologies and remote access security.
- Experience with SIEM platforms such as Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, QRadar, or ArcSight.
- Familiarity with cloud security (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
- Understanding of Zero Trust Architecture and Secure Access Service Edge (SASE).
- Knowledge of vulnerability management tools such as Tenable, Qualys, or Rapid7.
- Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash is preferred.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field.
- 3-8+ years of experience in network security, cybersecurity, or network engineering.
- Relevant certifications preferred:
- CISSP
- CCNP Security
- CCIE Security
- Palo Alto PCNSE
- Fortinet NSE
- CompTIA Security+
- Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert
- Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
