Role Purpose
Execute a broad range of indirect tax activities as part of NXP’s Global Indirect Tax & Trade Compliance Team. The role is intended for an ambitious indirect tax professional who will support both operational and project-related activities across NXP’s global indirect tax function.
We are looking for a high-potential professional with relevant indirect tax experience who is eager to further develop their technical knowledge, gain exposure to international indirect tax matters, and build a long-term career within NXP. Working closely with experienced team members, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to a variety of compliance, advisory, and process improvement initiatives while continuing to grow professionally.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day indirect tax activities.
- Assist follow-up of VAT/GST compliance matters.
- Support tax audits and tax authority enquiries.
- Support business stakeholders on indirect tax questions.
Project Responsibilities
- Support global indirect tax projects.
- Participate in ERP (SAP) and finance (transformation) projects.
- Assist with CTC e-invoicing and e-reporting mandates in Europe and Asia.
- Support process improvements and automation initiatives.
Qualifications / experience
- Approximately 3-5 years of indirect tax experience with indirect tax (VAT/GST) in EU and/or APAC region.
- Background in indirect tax consulting and/or indirect tax compliance in a multinational environment or consultancy firm.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to work in an international environment.
- Demonstrates growth potential and eagerness to learn.
- SAP experience is a plus (not a requirement).
- Interested in continuous improvement, automation, data and AI-enabled ways of working.
Education
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accountancy, finance, (fiscal/tax) economics, (fiscal/tax) law or similar.
Language
- Fluent English, written and spoken, is required.
