Job Responsibilities

  • System-level architecture definition and specification of a new class of semiconductor products, encompassing high speed SerDes and RF/mmW signal chain
  • Conduct detailed system analysis, requirements gathering, and specification development, translating product requirements into technical solutions
  • Build system models for feasibility assessment, trade-off analyses, and risk assessment to drive architecture proposals
  • Collaborate closely with Design and verification teams to ensure requirements are mapped into implementation
  • Develop and implement system-level test plans to ensure robust functionality and performance of IC products
  • Act as a key technical interface with customers, understanding their needs and translating them into technical requirements and solutions
  • Drive continuous improvement in system engineering processes and methodologies
  • Contribute to intellectual property generation through patent disclosures and technical publications

Job Qualifications

  • Master's degree or Ph.D. in Electrical Engg, Electronics and Communication Engg, or in a related field
  • 15 years of experience in system engineering, with a strong focus on embedded systems and semiconductor IC product development
  • Solid experience in mmW (V-band) wireless communication system design and performance analysis
  • Experience in 10G SerDes specification - CTLE, VGA and DFE modeling, CDR, PLL and high-speed clock specifications, jitter budgeting, and analysis
  • Worked in product specification and development in analog-mixed signal domain
  • Strong expertise in programming and modeling - C, C++, MATLAB, Python
  • Prior experience on use of AI tools (Co-pilot, Claude, etc.) for productivity and efficiency improvements is a plus
  • Excellent written, oral and presentation capability
  • Individual contributor but works closely with team members from diverse cultures and geographies
