The Role
The Commercial Analyst sits in Commercial Operations and reports to the Commercial Operations & Onboarding Manager. The role uses data, pricing insight and sharp process thinking to drive revenue growth and protect margin across the Ofload marketplace. It owns Issues & Claims, finds revenue leakage and fixes it, and works with Product to move manual workarounds onto the platform.
It's hands-on, with real reach across Finance, Operations, Product and Sales. It suits someone who likes being close to the numbers and closer to the people making decisions with them.
What you'll be doing:
- Owning end-to-end Issues & Claims (I&C) handling, with every case resolved quickly, accurately and on sound commercial terms
- Setting consistent standards for documentation, coding and approvals, and escalating high-value or complex cases
- Managing off-platform I&Cs so they create revenue opportunities without adding unsustainable complexity
- Partnering with Product to prioritise and ship features that strengthen commercial and pricing capability
- Moving manual, off-platform processes into the core platform
- Spotting inefficiencies and building templates, checklists and workflows that cut rework
- Working with Finance on charging, crediting, accruals and disputes
- Helping Operations get to the root cause of commercial and process issues
- Giving Sales and Commercial the data, insight and precedent to win pricing negotiations
- Building and owning processes that keep rate cards and invoices accurate
About you:
- A track record of delivering commercial or pricing outcomes in a similar role
- Experience in a tech scale-up, logistics, marketplace or other high-growth business
- Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills, including building models from scratch
- The ability to turn a spreadsheet into a story people act on
- Confidence working across teams and influencing without formal authority
- Ownership and follow-through, with no need to wait to be asked
- Adaptable, resilient under pressure and always learning
- Logistics or supply chain experience in pricing, margin or revenue operations is a bonus, but it isn't essential
