Director Data & AI Engineering (m/f/d)

What we look for:

• You lead the strategic and operational delivery of Data & AI engineering engagements, taking accountability from architecture and build through production deployment and sustained client impact.
• You work directly with client executives and technology leaders to shape ambitious but executable Data & AI roadmaps and resolve critical architectural and delivery decisions.
• You lead multidisciplinary engineering teams building scalable data platforms, backend services, AI applications, LLM and agentic systems, and cloud-native infrastructure.
• You ensure solutions meet enterprise requirements for security, reliability, scalability, governance, usability, and cost while remaining focused on real business outcomes.
• You create an environment of rapid, disciplined iteration with clients and users, using field feedback to improve solutions and delivery approaches.
• You own portfolio quality, staffing, profitability, client satisfaction, technical standards, and the development of engineering leaders.
• You drive business development, strategic proposals, reusable assets, partnerships, and the continuous evolution of OMMAX Data & AI Engineering offerings.

What we require:

• You hold an outstanding degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related technical field.
• You bring several years of relevant professional experience in data engineering, AI engineering, or backend development, ideally in a consulting environment.
• You demonstrate strong expertise in building scalable systems and working with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• You have hands-on experience with modern data architectures, APIs, and the integration of AI and LLM components.
• You are highly proficient in Python and experienced in building production-grade applications.
• You demonstrate strong analytical thinking and a structured, solution-oriented approach.
• You work in a proactive, team-oriented manner and take ownership of your responsibilities.
• You are fluent in English; additional local language skills are a plus.
