At Calo, you’ll work in small classroom environments (up to 12 students) with the support needed to deliver individualized instruction that nurtures confidence, resilience, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning.

Responsibilities
Instruction & Student Support
- Deliver engaging, differentiated Math and Science instruction tailored to individual learning needs.
- Adapt lessons and pacing for students with varying abilities, IEPs, 504 Plans, and treatment goals.
- Foster a safe, structured, and trauma-informed learning environment.
- Support students' academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth.
Assessment & Documentation
- Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed.
- Maintain accurate academic records, progress reports, and required documentation.
- Participate in IEP meetings and educational planning.
Collaboration & Compliance
- Partner with therapists, residential staff, families, and school districts to support student success.
- Participate in team meetings and professional development.
- Ensure compliance with state regulations, program policies, and classroom safety standards.
Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience creating differentiated instruction and scaffolding lessons to meet individual student needs.
- Student-centered approach with the ability to support diverse learning styles.
- Highly organized, flexible, and structured.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Passion for student growth and creating engaging learning experiences.
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
- Valid Missouri teaching certification with authorization to teach at the elementary and/or middle school level.
- Qualified to teach Mathematics and Science per Missouri DESE requirements; relevant endorsements preferred.
- Ability to pass state and federal background checks and drug screening.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
