Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Python.
  • Build and manage microservices-based applications using modern frameworks and best practices.
  • Develop and optimise APIs in line with API-first design principles.
  • Design robust event-driven architectures leveraging messaging and streaming platforms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable solutions.
  • Implement observability, monitoring, and performance optimisation across distributed systems.
  • Drive engineering excellence through automated testing, code reviews, and CI/CD practices.
  • Contribute to architecture decisions and technical strategy for backend platforms.

The core requirements for the job include the following:

Backend Technologies:

  • Strong programming experience in Java and Python.
  • Hands-on experience with: Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Data JPA, FastAPI.

Architecture and Systems:

  • Strong understanding of Microservices Architecture and Distributed Systems.
  • Experience designing and building highly available, fault-tolerant services.
  • Proficiency in API-first development and RESTful services.
