Headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona, Onsemi is a global semiconductor manufacturer specializing in intelligent power and intelligent sensing technologies. The company designs and produces silicon carbide power modules, image sensors, MOSFETs, and mixed-signal integrated circuits engineered for high-efficiency applications. Additionally, it primarily serves the automotive and industrial markets, providing critical hardware for electric vehicle powertrains, advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), and renewable energy infrastructure.

Position Overview

onsemi is seeking an experienced Product Line Manager to support and grow the SiC bare die business in the European automotive market. This role will report to the Director of the SiC Bare Die Business Unit and will be responsible for regional product line execution, customer engagement, design-win support, business analysis, and roadmap input for automotive SiC bare die opportunities.

The successful candidate will work closely with sales, field application engineering, product engineering, technology development, operations, quality, finance, and global product management teams to drive profitable growth. The role requires strong understanding of power semiconductors, automotive power electronics, SiC devices, customer requirements, and product line management discipline.

This position is focused on European market execution and automotive customer support, while contributing to the global SiC bare die strategy. The initial role scope included SiC product line management, customer engagement, product definition, market analysis, financial management, and cross-functional execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • European Market Responsibility: Drive SiC bare die business growth, design-win pipeline, customer engagement, and revenue development in the European automotive market.
  • Customer Engagement: Support key European automotive OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, in coordination with sales and application engineering teams.
  • Product Line Management: Manage assigned SiC bare die products and opportunities, including product positioning, customer requirements, lifecycle support, and roadmap input.
  • Product Definition: Collect customer and market requirements for SiC bare die products and translate them into product specifications, business cases, and roadmap recommendations.
  • Design-Win Execution: Support customer projects from early promotion through evaluation, qualification, nomination, ramp, and production.
  • Business Management: Support revenue forecast, opportunity tracking, pricing analysis, margin review, and regional business reporting for European automotive accounts.
  • Market Analysis: Monitor European automotive electrification trends, SiC adoption, competitive activity, pricing environment, and customer sourcing behavior.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Work with sales, marketing, applications, engineering, operations, quality, supply chain, and finance to support customer programs and resolve issues.
  • Automotive Applications: Support SiC bare die opportunities in traction inverters, onboard chargers, DC/DC converters, DC fast charging, and broader automotive power conversion applications.
  • Quality and Qualification Support: Coordinate with quality, reliability, and engineering teams to support customer qualification requirements, including automotive standards and customer-specific expectations.
  • Executive Communication: Provide clear updates to BU leadership on customer status, market risks, design-win progress, revenue outlook, and required decisions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or related technical field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in semiconductors, power electronics, automotive electronics, or related industries.
  • Experience in product line management, product marketing, business management, technical marketing, applications engineering, or customer-facing semiconductor roles.
  • Strong knowledge of power semiconductor products; SiC MOSFET, SiC diode, bare die, power module, or high-voltage device experience preferred.
  • Experience working with automotive OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, module makers, inverter suppliers, or industrial power customers.
  • Strong understanding of automotive power applications such as traction inverters, onboard chargers, DC/DC converters, and charging infrastructure.
  • Ability to manage customer requirements, product roadmap input, design-win pipeline, revenue forecast, and competitive analysis.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively across global teams, including Europe, US, and Asia.
  • Fluent English communication skills required; German, French, Italian, or other European language capability is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or master’s degree in a technical or business field.
  • Direct experience with power devices, bare die business models, wafer-level testing, known-good-die requirements, or customer module integration.
  • Knowledge of automotive qualification standards such as AEC-Q101 and AQG324.
  • Experience supporting pricing decisions, customer negotiations, long-term supply agreements, and strategic design-win activities.
  • Existing experience with European automotive customers and semiconductor ecosystem partners.
