Task

Planning, designing, implementing, and maintaining Rust components and applicationsBuilding a unified SDK for AI-based features integration into AetherReviewing requirements and contributing to feature designImplementing clean, idiomatic, maintainable Rust codeWriting and maintaining unit and integration testsParticipating in code reviews to ensure quality and best practicesCreating and updating technical documentation including rustdoc for public APIsIdentifying opportunities for code improvementsCollaborating with global engineers to deliver secure, reliable, and performant softwareSupporting junior engineers through code reviews and pair programming

Expectation

Foundation in software engineering principlesKnowledge of Rust ownership, borrowing and lifetimes, traits and generics, idiomatic error handling with ResultFamiliarity with Cargo and Rust toolchain (rustup, clippy, rustfmt)Understanding of concurrency in Rust including threads, Send/Sync, atomics, synchronization primitives (Mutex, RwLock, channels)Knowledge of thread pools and producer-consumer patternsExperience with avoiding lock contention and race conditionsExperience with Docker/containerizationKnowledge of Semantic Versioning (SemVer) and dependency management with Cargo (workspaces, crates, feature flags)Experience or familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (TeamCity preferred)Grasp of design patterns, trait-based composition, and writing clean, readable codeProficiency in English

Understanding of OS-level file and process behavior on Windows and/or LinuxExperience designing SDKs or library APIsExperience packaging ML models for inference (e.g., ONNX Runtime)Experience with async Rust (e.g., Tokio)Experience with unsafe Rust and FFI boundariesHands-on experience with performance work (profiling with flamegraph, benchmarking with criterion, memory allocation awareness)Familiarity with AWS basics (S3, API Gateway, DocumentDB) or similar cloud servicesBackground in cybersecurity (AV, EDR, sandboxing), compression, parsers, SIMD, or ML concepts
