We are looking for someone at the beginning of their career who wants to learn and develop in privacy, information security governance and compliance. Previous privacy, compliance or cyber security experience is not required. We will teach you the frameworks, processes and technical concepts you need to know. This is an excellent opportunity to join one of Australia's leading managed service providers and build your career alongside people who know this space inside out.

What we cannot teach as easily is exceptional attention to detail, strong written English, curiosity, organisation and pride in producing accurate, professional work.

This could suit a recent graduate, someone with one or two years of professional experience, or someone looking to start a career in governance and compliance. If you are the person who notices a formatting inconsistency, spelling mistake or incorrect number that everyone else missed, we would love to hear from you.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll join Orro's Group Security team and work alongside experienced security, privacy and governance professionals who will help build your knowledge as you go.

A large part of your role will involve documents, spreadsheets, records and information. You'll help us make sure our policies, compliance records and supporting evidence are accurate, organised, professional and up to date. As your knowledge develops, you'll gradually take on more responsibility across privacy, risk, compliance and assurance.

• Help prepare and update policies, procedures, reports and other business documents

• Review documents carefully for accuracy, consistency, formatting, grammar and completeness

• Maintain compliance registers, spreadsheets, evidence repositories and document libraries

• Collect and organise information and evidence from different teams

• Help prepare documentation and evidence for internal and external audits

• Support privacy and compliance activities across the business

• Track actions and follow up with stakeholders to make sure agreed activities are completed

• Prepare professional Word documents, Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations

• Learn about ISO 27001, privacy, information security, risk management and third-party governance

What You'll Bring

You do not need previous privacy, compliance or cyber security experience. We're primarily looking for someone with the right foundational skills and attitude:

• Excellent written English, including grammar, spelling and professional business writing

• Exceptional attention to detail - you naturally notice small errors and inconsistencies

• Strong organisational skills and an ability to keep records accurate and structured

• Strong Microsoft Word skills, including formatting professional documents

• Good Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills

• Ability to read information carefully, understand what is being asked and follow instructions accurately

• Comfortable communicating with people and asking questions when something isn't clear

• Curious and willing to learn new concepts

• Reliable and comfortable following tasks through to completion

• Based in Sydney - unfortunately this role does not offer relocation
