Sr. Backend Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain robust, scalable backend systems for high-growth fintech products.
• Take ownership of end-to-end development across the stack from architecture to deployment.
• Collaborate directly with the CTO and founders on product strategy and feature prioritisation.
• Lead and contribute to discussions on technology choices, scalability challenges, and product roadmaps.
• Develop and manage RESTful APIs and ensure smooth integration with the frontend and third-party services.
• Work with modern infrastructure tools, including Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS.
• Maintain clean, testable, and well-documented code adhering to agile principles and CI/CD best practices.
• Continuously improve the system's performance, reliability, and security at scale.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to engineering culture and code quality standards.

Requirements:

• Minimum 4 years of backend development experience with hands-on expertise in Golang.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design.
• Experience working in cloud-native environments (AWS preferred).
• Familiarity with Agile development, CI/CD pipelines, and modern testing methodologies.
• Proficiency with SQL databases and experience in building products at scale.
• Experience developing, consuming, and scaling RESTful APIs.
• Ability to think creatively and solve problems in a dynamic, fast-changing environment.
• Passion for fintech or strong curiosity about the stock market and financial systems.
