The platform provides a standardized developer and user experience across multiple classified enclaves, leveraging a zero trust, hub-and-spoke architecture.
The Mid-Level Platform Engineer will perform hands-on platform engineering, infrastructure automation, and Tier 3 technical support activities to maintain platform availability, reliability, and performance. This role will support the deployment and sustainment of containerized workloads, infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, and shared platform services while troubleshooting and resolving escalated technical issues across the enterprise. Working within a cross-functional engineering and operations team, the engineer will collaborate with senior personnel, cybersecurity staff, and Tier 2 support to deliver reliable platform capabilities to mission users.
What You Will Do

Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform, Ansible, or similar automation technologies.
Support CI/CD pipeline development and maintenance to enable secure, repeatable platform deployments.
Implement and maintain platform security configurations, including identity-aware access, network segmentation, and least-privilege controls.
Assist with onboarding new mission tenants, applications, and shared services onto the enterprise platform.
Monitor platform health, availability, and performance using logging, metrics, alerting, and dashboard technologies.
Provide Tier 3 technical support for escalated incidents involving compute, storage, networking, identity, and container infrastructure.
Troubleshoot complex technical issues across Linux operating systems, DNS, routing, load balancing, firewalls, and identity and access management.
Investigate incidents, document findings, and support root cause analysis and corrective action development.
Resolve technical issues within established service levels and escalate complex problems to senior engineers and platform leadership as appropriate.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, troubleshooting procedures, and operational runbooks.
Support the implementation of corrective actions and automation improvements to reduce recurring incidents.
