Pharmathen offers a great opportunity for career development and is seeking to recruit aPackaging Engineering Officer to join ourSupply Chain team at ourMarousi premises.

The Packaging Engineering Officer is responsible for managing and executing the lifecycle processes for all packaging components including troubleshooting and optimization to improve safety, quality and efficiency on packaging lines. The role is also responsible for providing regular internal updates and reporting for the department, as required.

More particularly:

What you’ll do:

• Provide necessary support to external manufacturing production at various CMO sites
• Provide packaging structural engineering, development and design support
• Coordinate structural and artwork development process with graphic designers for new SKU development, commercial launches, and manage routine artwork changes
• Maintain packaging database. Create and edit as needed packaging documentation and specifications
• Develop dyelines for artwork in collaboration with the manufacturing facilities
• Initiate change control for packaging related changes at CMO. Review and approve packaging documentation as needed to support CMO activities
• Manage projects related to new product launch packaging activities, facilities, and manufacturing changes
• Provide packaging oversight for activities and troubleshoot as necessary for startup, new product or SKU launches and support on-going production
• Provide timely reporting, updates and follow-up to support departmental requirements and objectives

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor/ master’s in engineering, Materials Science

Minimum Experience:

• At least 2 years of experience in regulated industry (pharmaceutical or consumer products)

• At least 2 years of experience in packaging operations

• At least 2 years of experience with a variety of packaging on both primary and secondary/tertiary packaging

§ Job-Specific Skills:

• Experience with cGMP’s and Quality Systems

• Experience in project leadership skills and ability to develop effective working processes and relationships with internal/external partners and cross-functional project teams

• Device or combination product experience is considered a plus
• Excellent communication in English language (writing and speaking)
• Proficient SAP user
• Computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
