The AP Strategy, Insights & Analytics (SI&A) sits within AP Marketing and serves as a strategic advisory function - the team turns data into action, drives revenue growth through client intelligence, shapes marketing strategy, and positions Visa as the trusted intelligence partner for financial institutions, merchants, and key ecosystem players across Asia Pacific.
Job Description and Responsibilities
The Director, Client Insights & Analytics will lead Visa’s client intelligence function across Asia Pacific, combining deep research and analytical expertise with consultative problem-solving to translate Visa’s data, insights, analytics solutions for clients to make smarter decisions, accelerate growth and improve business performance. Based in Singapore and reporting to the Head of Strategy, Insights and Analytics - the Director will nurture strategic client relationships, be responsible for driving new business acquisition through Marketing Services and support Visa Consulting & Analytics opportunities with banks, issuers, acquirers, digital banks, payment providers, fintech and ecosystem partners.
Essential Functions:
- Lead a diverse market team - Lead market level Client I&A teams - setting strategic direction, managing performance, and building commercial capability through a culture of continuous learning and consultative selling. This role will ensure disciplined resource allocation, vendor investment decisions, and be commercially accountable for project prioritisation.
- Strategic client intelligence - Drive solution bundling and cross-sell to build a pipeline of strategic client intelligence opportunities - defining how Visa's client intelligence capability is positioned, packaged, and brought to market across financial institutions, merchants, government, and emerging ecosystem partners, aligned to AP commercial priorities and global intelligence standards.
- Collaborate on Projects - Work in close partnership with Marketing Services, account management and consulting teams to originate new revenue streams and deepen existing client investment by developing deep, durable relationships with internally and externally. Projects to include consumer research, transaction and impact analysis, portfolio performance, marketing effectiveness, and competitive intelligence.
- Lead Visa’s Brand Performance program - arming global, regional and market teams with a bottoms-up view through brand, consumer and competitive intelligence.
- AI-driven insight and analytics - champion AI-enabled research, analytics automation, and scalable insight platforms that improve the speed, quality, and commercial reach of intelligence outputs for both internal teams and external clients.
- Represent Visa as a senior external voice - on payments intelligence, consumer trends, and market analytics, contributing to industry forums, client executive briefings, thought leadership publications across Asia Pacific.
Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
We are looking for a driven, articulate professional with deep expertise in insights and analytics alongside proven consultative selling and commercial leadership. They will combine strategic vision with a client-first, revenue-accountable operating style - able to set direction, build teams, manage a P&L, and personally drive the most complex and high-stakes client engagements.
- 15+ years spanning consumer insights and analytics, and preferably with diverse experiences in strategy, management consulting, or commercial advisory roles, with a strong track record in client-facing, revenue-accountable leadership positions.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and enterprise influencing capabilities, with experience navigating complex, highly matrixed organisations across regional and global operating models.
- Proven track record of leading insight or analytics functions at a senior level, including team building, talent development, succession planning, and operating model design.
- Deep expertise across quantitative and qualitative research methodologies, advanced analytics, enterprise data platforms, and AI-enabled insight tools, with the ability to translate technical capability into client-facing commercial value.
- Strong data storytelling and communication skills - translating complex analysis into concise, persuasive, and commercially relevant narratives for senior internal and external audiences.
- Broad Asia Pacific market knowledge across financial institutions, payments, consumer behaviour, and digital commerce ecosystems; existing senior client networks across the region are strongly advantageous.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field
