Premium Merchant Funding (PMF) is one of the nation's leading providers of working capital for small and medium-sized businesses. From our headquarters in New York City's Financial District, we've built a high-performing sales organization with teams across the country, plus one of the larger summer internship programs in our space. We're growing, and we're looking for a recruiting professional who wants to grow with us.
The Role
This is a hands-on, full-cycle recruiting role with real ownership. You'll partner with a dedicated group of our sales teams, getting to know their leaders, their culture and what makes someone succeed on their team. Over time, you'll become the recruiting partner they trust and rely on.
This role is a true partnership with our sales leaders. You'll own the hiring process end to end, including interviewing and closing, but your success depends on earning the trust of the team leaders you support and staying closely aligned with them. They'll meet your finalists to confirm the fit and can help close when needed.
Most of the people you'll recruit are commission-based sales representatives: driven, ambitious people who want unlimited upside. If you enjoy spotting that kind of talent and telling a compelling story about the opportunity, you'll do well here. You'll also handle occasional searches for operations and support roles, which bring a more traditional search process.
You'll have real latitude in this role. When something isn't working, we want your ideas for fixing it, and you'll have leadership's support to put them into action.
What You'll Do
- Partner closely with your assigned sales team leaders to run full-cycle recruiting, from sourcing and interviewing through closing and onboarding.
- Build strong working relationships with team leaders and learn what makes a candidate thrive on each team.
- Assess candidates for drive, resilience and coachability, the qualities that predict success in a commission-based role, and keep them engaged throughout the process.
- Lead searches for operations and support roles as they come up.
- Lead PMF's summer internship program: sourcing and screening, managing timelines and school paperwork, and onboarding 100+ interns each season.
- Spot opportunities to improve how we recruit, and bring solutions to leadership.
- Keep operations leadership updated on pipeline activity and progress.
What You Bring
- 4+ years of full-cycle recruiting, ideally in high-volume, sales, staffing or agency settings.
- A track record of owning results: you anticipate needs, solve problems and keep things moving.
- A proven ability to build trust with sales leaders who set a high bar for their teams, and to keep it over time.
- Good instincts for reading candidates beyond the resume, especially their motivation and mindset.
- Comfort managing several searches at different stages at once while staying organized.
- Clear, confident communication with candidates, team leaders and leadership.
- Experience with an ATS, Indeed and LinkedIn Recruiter.
Nice to Have
- Campus or seasonal intern recruiting experience.
- A background in financial services, sales recruiting or agency recruiting.
Compensation & Opportunity
- Base salary of $100,000-$125,000, depending on experience.
