A construction company is seeking to hire an accountant with 3 to 5 years of experience in the construction sector to join its team.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Recording daily journal entries and performing accounting reconciliations.
Managing accounts for clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Monitoring project expenses and allocating costs to each project.
Reviewing payment certificates (invoices/statements of work) and tracking invoices and financial claims.
Managing petty cash, advances, and cash or bank-related expenditures.
Preparing periodic financial reports and handling month-end closing processes.
Organizing and maintaining accounting documents and files.
Requirements
Requirements:
3 to 5 years of practical experience in the construction/contracting sector.
Proficiency in using Excel.
Familiarity with the documentation and accounting cycles specific to construction/contracting companies.
Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to follow up effectively.
