Business Analyst - Data & AI

We are seeking a highly motivated Data and AI Business Analyst to bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technology teams in delivering data-driven and AI-enabled solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience working on AI implementation initiatives, a strong understanding of data, and excellent business analysis skills to drive successful project outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand business challenges and identify opportunities for Data & AI-driven solutions.
• Gather, analyse, document, and validate business and functional requirements.
• Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications and user stories.
• Work closely with Data Engineering, AI/ML, Product, and Technology teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Participate in AI solution implementation projects, ensuring business objectives are aligned with technical delivery.
• Analyse data sources, data quality, data flows, and reporting requirements to support AI and analytics initiatives.
• Facilitate workshops, stakeholder discussions, and requirement-gathering sessions.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), solution validation, and production rollouts.
• Identify process improvement opportunities through data analysis and AI capabilities.
• Prepare business documentation, process flows, functional specifications, and presentation materials.
• Communicate project progress, risks, dependencies, and recommendations to stakeholders.

The core requirements for the job include the following:

Business Analysis:

• 5+ years of Business Analysis experience.
• Strong expertise in requirement gathering, process mapping, stakeholder management, and documentation.
• Experience writing Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
• Ability to work with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.

Data and AI:

• Experience participating in AI implementation projects is required.
• Strong understanding of data concepts, including: Data analysis, Data models, Data mapping, Data lineage, Data quality, and data governance fundamentals
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts such as: Generative AI, Machine Learning, Large Language Models (LLMs), Predictive Analytics.
• Ability to understand AI use cases and translate business requirements into AI-enabled solutions.
• Technical Knowledge (Preferred).
• SQL for data analysis and validation.
• Experience working with BI and visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
• Exposure to cloud data platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.
• Experience using tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar.
• Domain Preference.

Preferred:

• Wealth Management (First Preference).
• Banking (Second Preference).
• Candidates from adjacent financial services domains with strong Business Analysis skills and relevant Data & AI implementation experience will also be considered.
