About the Role
Due to our continued growth we are now looking to add to our Data Team based in Canterbury. The Data Analyst will play a key role within our business intelligence function, supporting our organisation through detailed data analysis, reporting, and the development of data-driven insights to support decision making and investment by our Senior Executives.
Principal duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Undertake detailed analysis of operational and clinical system data using Power BI/ Power Query
- Triage and monitor the data service desk, responding to ad hoc requests and BAU reporting
- Support gathering data requirements for the implementation of new systems and clients, including validating outputs
- Assist with developing and maintaining technical documentation relating to data definitions and the organisation’s data dictionary.
- Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements that enhance information flow
- Improve key stakeholders’ understanding of business performance through detailed data analysis
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date datasets relating to clinical activity
- Provide data to support internal audits
- Produce reports for internal meetings
- Monitor performance against KPIs for staff and activity contracts
- Develop and maintain visual dashboards for managers
Person Specification
- A degree in mathematics, science or a business-related subject.
- Must have experience in data analysis
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience using data visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau or Salesforce Analytics
- Knowledge of SQL
- Strong organisational skills and a methodical approach to work, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure while meeting critical deadlines
- A positive attitude, including during high-pressure periods within the BI department
